Great students, Great Staff, Great Parents, Building Greater Communities
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another wonderful year at Caladenia, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our students, parents and staff for making it such a positive and memorable one. The enthusiasm, support and dedication shown across our community continues to make our school a truly special place.
We are incredibly grateful to our P&C for the many enjoyable events they have provided throughout the year. These opportunities have strengthened connections within our school and created lasting memories for our students and families. The Caladenia staff and P&C have greatly valued working together to support our community and to continue building strong, meaningful partnerships. Please look our for their flyers at the beginning of next year – we’d all appreciate it if you can volunteer and be part of the P&C, whenever and however you can.
Together, we remain committed to supporting our students emotionally, socially and academically, while fostering a creative environment where students are encouraged to be curious, to dream and to try. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey — we look forward to continuing this work together in the coming year.
We had a few events this week to finalise our year – we had our Book Award Assemblies on Tuesday; the recipients are listed later in this message.
On Wednesday, the Year 5s challenged the Caladenia Staff to a Netball match. The staff were able to able to share their experience, teamwork and a strategic use of substitutions to outplay the students’ youthful energy. Both players and spectators had an enjoyable time, with lots of laughter and comradery. A special thanks to the students who organised the event and for all those that participated.
And today was our final event for the year, our Christmas Carol Assembly. Which was an absolute joy. The students all looked amazing in their festive attire, they sang beautifully and enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate together. Thank you to all the parents who came along, it was really wonderful to see you all.
I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank the staff of Caladenia PS. They all, no matter what role they do, work incredibly hard to make a positive impact on our school through their dedication enthusiasm and willingness to support the students and families as well as their colleagues. I feel very fortunate to be able to work alongside such a great team.
Thoughts:
I will leave you with the message I shared with the Year 6s at their Leavers Assembly – they are from Walt Disney:
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” and to do this we need to “First think. Second believe. Third dream. And finally, dare.”
We hope you all have a wonderful and safe break, and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.
Kind regards,
