CONTRIBUTIONS CHARGES Caladenia Primary School

Contributions & Charges 2023

Caladenia Primary School

The Caladenia Primary School Board has endorsed the schedule of Contributions and Charges for 2023. The schedule is broken into four sections and will allow you to calculate all costs that may be incurred throughout the school year.

Contributions

The total amount of contributions parents/caregivers are being asked to pay has been set at $60.00 per student which is in line with the School Education Regulations 2000.

Money collected will be used to supplement school expenditure in the curriculum learning areas. While the contributions are voluntary the quality of our teaching and learning program will be maximised when each family makes its contribution to the cost of supplementing funding gained from other sources, including the State and Commonwealth governments. Voluntary contributions collected are directed to the following areas:

  • Printing or copying of text materials for use in the educational program eg. photocopy materials.
  • Printed and electronic materials which are related to the educational program and are provided for the student to borrow or keep e.g. text books, workbooks and book hire.
  • Sporting and musical equipment
  • Classroom resource materials e.g. art materials, computer resources, etc.
  • Library Books, Reading Books, Maths Equipment.
  • Craft (Kindergarten and Pre-Primary Students)

Exercise books are not included in the Personal Use Items List and will come from your voluntary contribution and school funds. It is therefore vital for the school to receive your family’s contribution. Your contribution will be used to supplement school funding for the purchase of resources needed in the provision of the learning program activities.

Payments can be made by the following methods:

  • Direct Deposit into the school’s bank account via internet banking BSB 066040 A/C number 19900612. Please enter your child’s name in the reference field.
  • By cash, cheque or EFTPOS to the school’s administration office.
  • Or directly to Campion Education when you order your child’s 2023 personal items.

The School Board would like to point out the contribution per child ($60.00) equates to $1.50 per week over the course of the year.

Please note that all contributions are used for the direct benefit of the children. Our aim is to raise our community’s contribution rate to 100% in 2023 for the benefit of all our children.

Charges for Extra Cost Optional Components

A breakdown of estimated charges for your child’s participation in excursions, incursions and other activities for 2023 are listed in the table below. Details on charges collected in previous years has helped guide the 2023 estimate of charges. The amounts shown represent the maximum charge for scheduled activities in 2023.

Items for Personal Use

We are now distributing the recommended list of Items for Personal Use for your child. All materials can be purchased through Campion Education, however, you are not obliged to use this supplier. Your child will need to have the listed materials each school day, and we insist that suppliers provide quality products that are long lasting.
The list of items for personal use will vary for students in each year group and include:

  • Student requirements for all students and used in lessons eg. stationery items, calculator, etc.
  • The book supplier will also collect the Voluntary Contribution and P&C Voluntary request, or you can pay the school directly.
