Dear Parents/Care Givers,
What Next?
We have approval for our new playground for Year 2 and 3 to be placed outside the Library – it is a large play structure, with outdoor musical instruments around it and under new trees. The students love the idea and have given it the tick of approval. We also have approval for our new extra Kindy Class and one more transportable.
We have restructured our leadership model to include far more staff empowerment – one of these structures includes a Parent Development Team, led by a teacher leader who will invite a few positive parents who can work with staff to embrace a stronger bond between home and school in 2022. More on this in the next few weeks.
Your Move
The students and the Your Move Champion (Mrs Wall) were treated to the Driverless Bus in South Perth today. I believe it was very enjoyable. This was as a result of our students attending the Your Move Student Leadership Campaign.
Thank you to Mrs Wall for her untiring dedication to the safety of our students riding/walking to school.
P&C
I believe that the current P&C will be vacating all positions for 2022. We have had a hard time in recruiting parents who can spend some time helping out in developing a strong home-school link and some fund-raising activities. The school is interested in finding parents who
The Principal of the school is very much a willing participant in the building of a strong relationship with the community and we need positive people who can sit together to establish these guidelines and processes.
Term 4
Walk or ride to school – it is healthier and helps children become far more aware of their environment and appreciate it. We have a few weeks to go and a lot is happening over those weeks. We will provide further information as we have it.

Pre Primary Room 7- Mrs Dalbock
The Pre-Primary classes were fortunate to have a visit from Bunnings on Tuesday 16 November.
There was lots of excitement, banging and hammering as the busy elves in PP5 had lots of fun building something special from wood, for their mums and dads. We learnt how to work safely using a real hammer and nails!
Shhhhhh…we can’t tell you what it is yet…it’s a secret. There is still lots more fun to be had painting and decorating it. Mum and dad, you are going to have to wait until Christmas!
Year 2 Room 26 – Ms Martin
It is kindness week!
Year 2, room 26 are writing narratives. Our narratives are including morals. Here are some of the examples Year 2 came up with. Our bees focus on words that can mean being kind. These are some of the morals included in our writing.

Don’t judge a book by its cover- Rayyan
Treat people the very best- Aleah
Always help anyone in need- Vernica
If you don’t trust someone, don’t follow them- Jason
Year 6 Room 32 – Mr Garrett
This term Room 32 has been learning about Chemical Science. This is exciting due to the number of interesting experiments and hands on experiences. For our second experiment this term, we created mixtures using water and a variety of different materials. Students made predictions then tested whether they mix together, using language like soluble and miscible. We then discussed our findings making connections between the scientific theories and real-world experiences. Students enjoyed the experiment and are looking forward to the next one.
Do you know how to safely get to school? Have you been looking for a safe route or path to take?
Look no further!
The Your Move team have been working on a ‘How to Get to Caladenia Primary” map which will highlight safe routes to get to school.
Look out for this brochure which will be sent home soon with your 2022 Booklist. You can use it, to start planning how you, can actively come to school.
In the meantime, try to choose one or two days that you could walk, ride or scoot to school as we head towards the end of the year.
Can you help to reduce the traffic in the Kiss ‘n Drop areas?
