    Dear Parents/Guardians

I can’t believe that we have reached the end of Term One already! Thank you to all students, staff and parents for everything you have done to make this term successful. The students have settled into routines nicely and are demonstrating that they are producing their best work at all times. I’d like to thank Tracy and the P & C for all their fundraising efforts, including this week’s Pyjama Day – it is a strange sight to see the whole of the school turn up in their dressing gowns and pyjamas! Thank you parents for all your gold coin donations – all P & C fundraising goes to the school to benefit your children directly.

As we move into Term Two we have lots of exciting events to look forward to, including In-term Swimming and NAPLAN for those students in Years 3 and 5. The NAPLAN tests take place on Tuesday 9th May, Wednesday 10th May and Thursday 11th May. All parents in Years 3 and 5 should have received the ‘Information for Parents’ brochure, however, if you have any questions or queries do not hesitate to contact the classroom teachers or you can visit the NAPLAN website parent section:

We wish all students taking part the best.

Term One finishes on Thursday 6th April and the students return on Monday 24th April, we will be holding our ANZAC service at 11am in the undercover Area on this day. Just a reminder that the Tuesday 25th April is the ANZAC Day public holiday and students do not attend school.

Mr Nastasi is enjoying his Canadian adventure, but sends his best wishes to all of the Caladenia Community. He wishes to convey his thanks to everyone involved in the school and that you have a safe and happy break.

Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back in Term Two.

    Kind regards,

    Craig McIlwraith
    Acting Principal

Getting to Know our School Board Members

“Hi I am Cindy Booth, I have three children. Two who have been at Caladenia Primary and are now at CVC and Joseph who is in Kindy. I joined the School Board before the school opened to be part of the school community and have an opportunity to make this school great from the start. Being on the School Board has enabled me to have input into the School name, uniform and the School’s vision and values. I have learned a lot over the last 10 years on how to process data and  have input in the meetings. The last two years I have been the School Board Representative for the P&C and that has enabled me to report to both groups on what is happening in the School. I encourage anybody to join the School Board at any time, it is very rewarding and interesting.”    Cindy Booth 22 March 2017
